Over the course of six wonderful albums, France’s most famous four-piece have thrilled us with their effortlessly cool blend of rock, pop and disco. Since forming in singer Thomas Mars’ garage in the late 90s, the band have become global superstars thanks to undeniable hits like ‘1901’, ‘Lisztomania’, ‘Too Young’ and ‘Entertainment’, just to name a few. In 2009, their dazzling third album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
Earlier this year, they unveiled their latest record Ti Amo, a sparkling love letter to Italy which Spin magazine called “a big, juicy starburst of romantic synth-pop and disco”. Hot on the heels of acclaimed appearances at Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and Summer Sonic, Phoenix are set to burn bright at their first Sydney show in four years.
